Every day millions of tons of chemicals are used to treat industrial wastewater from food processing factories aroundthe world. Aside from the cost of treating the water with chemicals there isalso the added cost of removal of sludge, which is created through the use ofchemicals.

At Dantech, Danish Technology Center ApSwe have understood the demands quite clearly and have developed a “Greener” solution,which is not solely dependent on the need for chemicals but also provides an excellent system to recover valuable by products, which were previously, lost in the waste stream.

Recovery of by-products is better for theenvironment too, firstly they have a value in possible use within the foodchain and secondly may have a value for animal or organic use within thefarming sector.

By looking into the processing areas weare able to remove much of the solid organic materials very early, before theyhave been diluted in the water. These solid particles can easily be diluted byflushing, pumping and long transport in pipes as well as storage in tanks.
